200 km into the arctic circle Ian Douglas-Jones and Ben Rousseau have completed a unique environment using only Ice and Snow and the high tech lighting solutions, never seen before at the Ice Hotel

Illuminated range of media wall cabinetry in Farrow and Ball colours and lacquered surfaces.

Designed in collaboration with architects Hackett Holland, this media wall and DJ booth were designed to fit within an industrial luxury scheme combining lots of tactile grey hues and textures.

Containing a package of super high-spec audio equipment, the contents are housed in a structure covered with finest Scottish leather and acoustic fabric. The formation is dictated by the positioning of a set of incredible Wisdom L75 speakers standing just shy of 2 metres tall that surround the 50 inch screen in an exaggerated H formation. The equipment is all accessed via doors in the rear of the unit that is kept cool by means of a ventilation system that runs up through the entire unit and into the ceiling void above. An illuminated shadow gap frames the top and bottom edges while a drop down projector screen sits in a flush-mounted channel directly in front of the media wall that runs the entire width of the unit.

As per Rousseau’s on going work with the Ice Hotel we were invited to be part of an International team of Artists and Designers to create a huge Ice and Snow sculpture for Chanel’s Autumn Winter showin the Grand Palais, Paris during Paris Fashion Week.

Yotopia Yoga Studio Covent Garden, Designed in collaboration with Zynk Architects. 50mm timber blades sit over 50mm spaces all off set to a regimented pattern to create a feeling of movement through the space. Inset linoleum runs along the storage and seating unit all given a relaxing ambiance with a blue Led lighting detail running around along its entire length.
